Lake Kivu Bulk Earthworks

Lake Kivu Bulk Earthworks

Client: Shema Power

Location: Rwanda

Duration: 2008 – 2009 (under KV3)

The project developed gas extraction facilities to extract methane gas from Lake Kivu and deliver it to onshore facilities for processing and subsequent use in gas engines for power generation.

This comprised a civil works contract for bulk earthworks with an option for concrete foundation works, gas extraction and processing design and construction including associated civil works, and power generation design and construction including associated civil works.
